What I Do

Development

Cory is an iOS developer that has been creating software for Apple platforms since 2006. Originally starting with macOS development, he later moved into iOS development when the SDK was opened to the public. At MartianCraft, he creates and maintains software for quality-discerning clients, some of which have included Apple, Amazon, Whole Foods, FOX Broadcasting (National Geographic, FOX, FX), Lytro, and more.

Cory brings a design-centric approach to development, not only liking end products to work good, but also look good.

Writing

Writing has been a passion for Cory since the mid-2000s. When he was in high school, he started writing for TUAW (The Unofficial Apple Weblog), then quickly joined the MacLife online and print publication, where he wrote for 8 years on various iOS and macOS topics. He currently writes a regularly published column for TechRepublic on iOS how tos and tips for business-oriented users.

In early 2017, Cory co-wrote a book on WatchKit development, which was self-published on the Amazon CreateSpace platform. Information on this publication can be found on the Beginning WatchKit Development website.

Blog

Cory blogs on an irregular basis on his personal blog, ObjDev. On this blog, you can find ramblings from technology to development to other things that Cory finds interesting.
