If you have at least a $1,000 (US) to blow, then you might want to take a look at an iPhone prototype that’s being sold on eBay. The auction in question is for 2 pre-release iPhones that have a beta version of the iPhone OS (version 03.06.01_G) on them. You may remember that when the iPhone was released in June 2007, it ran the OS version 03.11.02_G. You can see a video below of the iPhone prototype in action.
I recently had the chance to download the public beta of Safari 4.0. I was previously using the “forbidden to be talked about” developer build of Safari 4.0. I must say that it has been very rock solid and I have loved seeing it pass (with flying colors) the Acid3 test. Until I’m able to get a walkthrough posted here, I wanted to just pass along the splash screen video that shows up when you first load Safari. If you’ve found something awesome in the new public beta, be sure to let me know!
I recently overheard someone talking in one of my classes about a movie they recently watched for a business class. I immediately Googled the title and found that there was a 30-minute preview of it online. I.O.U.S.A. is the name of it, and it is about the current economic situation that we’re in. The movie goes into detail about how we’ve been in a downward spiral in the past few years, and that if we don’t get a grasp on it soon, it could ultimately end in destruction. I’ve embedded the 30-minute clip of the movie at the top.
Note: While it is a good watch, it’ll no doubt leave you in a depressed mood.
On last night’s Family Guy episode entitled “Ocean’s Three and a Half,” the Zune got an impromptu mention. As Lois’ father Carter Pewterschmidt is holding a party with some famous people, he walks up to Bill Gates and asks if he could have some help “programming his Zune.” Carter then remembers that he has an iPod and exclaims, “Oh wait, I have an iPod like the rest of the world.”
You can watch the full clip on Hulu (in the player above); you can also watch the full 20-minute episode from this link.
