Apparently, now that more and more creative people are finding out that the AppleTV is running a stripped down version of OS X, the AppleTV is getting hacked! Some of these hacks range from Creating A Web Server, Enabling Apple Remote Desktop, Enabling SSH & AFP to Upgrading the Hard Drive.

There have been many rumors going around that Leopard might not be released until later in 2007. Despite questionable rumors that Apple was delaying Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard until October, Jupiter Research’s Michael Gartenberg reports that an Apple representative “confirmed the reports are wrong and Leopard is still scheduled to ship in this spring as they previously announced.” Again, “Spring 2007″ gives us a timeframe up to and including June, which is when the Worldwide Developer’s Conference takes place. Developers whom have been using the beta of Leopard say that the OS isn’t quite ready to be shipped in April 2007.

Happy Birthday OS X!

Six years ago today, Apple reinvented the Operating System with a new OS called “Mac OS X”. (The “X” is pronounced as “10″, sorry… this bugs me when people pronounce it “X”). Mac OS X 10.0 (also called “Puma”) was the new face of the Mac Operating System; and light-years ahead of anything that Microsoft had at the time.

Today, we are awaiting the next generation of OS X, “Leopard”, which is being billed as “Released in Spring 2007.” If it truly will be released in “Spring,” only Steve knows. Happy Birthday OS X, live long, and prosper!

Sorry that I haven’t been able to post as much as normal. I am going to start posting at least once everyday. I have been working on some projects that you will hear more about right here in the months to come. It has been a busy week, etc. this week. I am glad to say that I have had over 400 downloads in the past two months of my Automator action, Compress, Encrypt, and Email. I would just like to thank everyone who downloaded it. I hope that you really like it, and I will be producing even more in the months to come. If you downloaded it and like it, please leave me a comment on my Automator and AppleScript page; it would be greatly appreciated.

As most of you may know, I currently produce a Podcast, Mac Monthly. I have been very busy with that lately and soon I will be unveiling a plan that should allow me to have more time to work on other project, some I need to finish, others I need to start. So keep tuned to my blog for more information!
