MacBook is Roaring

“The MacBook Family is Complete”, are the words on the Apple.com website right now. That is correct, the Intel iBook replacement is here. The iBook only survived eight years, but the replacement is much better. The MacBook as it is called comes in 3 models, the base model with a Core Duo 1.83 Ghz starts at only $1,099. The next model, featuring a 2.0Ghz Core Duo, with 60 Gig Hard Drive starts at $1,299. And the biggest shocker of all, the black model, with 2.0Ghz Core Duo processor, and 80Gig Hard Drive, starts at $1,499.

All MacBook models include Intel Core Duo processors, Glossy wide screen 13.3″ display with 1280×800 resolution, Built In iSight Camera, MagSafe power adapter, Mac OS X “Tiger”, and iLife ’06. The 2.0Ghz models include a SuperDrive, while the 1.83 Ghz model includes a ComboDrive. Standard on all MacBooks are the 512 Mbs ram.
